Senate Bill 20-120, which took effect on September 14, 2020, requires electrical apprentices and plumbing apprentices to take a license examination if they have been registered for at least six years with either the State Electrical Board or the State Plumbing Board. Beginning January 1, 2021, qualifying electrical apprentices must take the exam every three years. We have received numerous requests for an accelerated course for apprentices with over six years of experience to satisfy the 288 learning hours required by the State of Colorado. After carefully crafting a comprehensive curriculum, we are proud to announce the IEC Southern Colorado Fast Track Program! This program will only be available to apprentices with 6000+ on the job hours, and will take approximately 12 months to complete. Classes will be held online two nights a week (M&TH, 5:30-9:30p), and will cover condensed curriculum to include electrical calculations, theory, grounding and bonding, and codebook navigation.
